Sort Activity newest first

I am a new user and my activity tabs are all sorted oldest first.  I want them to be newest first. 

Where do I go to change each tab in Activities to be sorted newest first?

I saw an old post that said there is something on the right of the tab panel to change it and then it will be that way each time I go in.  But I don't see anything to do that.  I saw another post that it was submitted as an enhancement in 2018?  I saw another frustrated post that said the question never was answered, so I have to ask again (answer didn't come up in search on Activity sort).  Thanks!

Hi Linda - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

It's an Old Jira Issue View versus the New Jira Issue View. It works in the Old view but not yet in the new view. 

You can vote for and follow the support ticket for the New view here is you like:

If you don't want to fully switch back and forth from New View to Old View, you can temporarily tack this on to the end of the URL to see it in the old view and sort the order:

?oldIssueView=true

(LOL) since I am a new user, new view is the only one I know . . . so I guess I will try the old view and see if it is easier to work with.  Thank you for answering . . . I'll just have different urls I guess depending on what I do . . . not a huge deal.  Thanks again!

:-)  I almost exclusively use the Old View still. They other thing you can do is leave in the New View and copy this to the end of the URL to see the card in Old View when you need to:
