Hello,
we have a strange bug regarding users receiving "You have work due" emails for tasks that are in status Done.
We do not have any notifications/workflows/automations tied to the Due date field.
The workflow that is triggered by status change has one step, and that is to set Resolution field to Done when the work item transitions to Done status or clears the Resolution field when the status is set to any other state.
What settings are we missing or where are the settings for what email is set when?
Thank you,
Petra
Welcome to the community @Petra
Strange because usually you get the notification when you have a due date set and the work item wasn't resolved before the date you set.
Can you please share the email and one of the work items you got notified about once you hide any confidential information?
Best,
Fadoua
Hi @Petra
Welcome to the community!
Can you verify if the Resolution field is set to "Done" on transition to Done status .
Its possible that some issues are being moved to Done through a bulk operation, an automation, or a transition that bypasses that post-function? If the Resolution field is empty even though the Status says "Done," Jira's notification system will still treat it as unresolved.

Hi Ajay,
i have double checked in query browser where i used the Resolution field in my query. It is set to done. I also checked in work item history where it also says it is set to done.
