I attempting to learn how to use JIRA as a software tester for my project. How do I add scripts for and relate them to my requirements?

Can you elaborate a bit on what you want to do exactly?
Jira Software itself is a tool for follow up of requirements and bugs/defects. The testing part isn't really an out of the box feature.
Are you using any apps for that (I know some like Xray or Zephyr can automate your test strategy a bit more)
