Slack webhook integration to send DMs

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
We are currently using Jira server and would like to use the Jira to slack webhook integration to send notifications as direct messages to individual team members.
My colleague has been able to set this up in the past but in the webhook integration settings it's now limited to sending messages channels only. Is it still possible to set up? If so I would greatly appreciate some direction on how to do so.
