Slack/Jira integration is too loud

I'm not sure if the integration that sends messages to channels and is configured in Jira is the same Jira bot that sends Personal Notifications on Slack, but my question is regarding the second.

I want to get notifications when someone mentions me. However I don't want to get notifications on every update in the task (status changes, etc) for tasks where I was previously mentioned and I'm not watching.

Is there a way to change this?
