Single Board across multiple instances of Jira

I would like to create a board that uses projects from two different instances of Jira. Is that possible and if so what actions need to happen?

As far as I know, this is not possible "out of the box". You'll have to use tools like Backbone Issue Sync for Jira or Issue SYNC - Synchronization for Jira to get data synced between the instances in order to be able to visualize it within one board.
