Show parent issue in backlog view when filtering on subtask assignee

Hi community

My team primarily uses the backlog view in Jira cloud.  We have work items that are usually assigned to a primary person such as 'Jim', but there are subtasks that are assigned to different people such as 'Jess'.

In the backlog view when I filter by Assignee = 'Jess' I can see the subtasks assigned to 'Jess' but not the parent item assigned to 'Jim'.  It only references the unique ID of the parent, not the title. Unfortunately I cannot memorise thousands of titles relative to their unique IDs.

Any suggestions please?

Hi @Callum Davey ,

You could edit the card layout in the board settings and add the 'parent' field. E.g., I have created this example where CCP-58 is a parent of CCP-25 which title is "Task 1". After adding the field parent, I can see it "Task 1" the layout:

Thanks yes, I did try this work around but it makes my backlog unreadable as we have a lot of issues that need to be considered at once so I keep it super compact.
