Hi,
I'm looking to post in slack the status of the actual sprint every day in the morning. It would be great, that our scrum team, have that information fresh in the morning in slack every day.
Jira has a gadget that allows you to know the sprint status. Does anyone know if it's possible to share that gadget as a screenshot and send it as a message in Slack?
Hi Fabian,
Jira renders most gadgets and sprint reports as HTML / Javascript. Natively there's no facility to render the gadgets/reports as an image file.
It might be possible with some work to use a browser testing framework like Selenium to render a page, grab a portion of it as an image, and then pipe that into Slack. I could see someone writing a script to do that, although I'm not aware of any currently-published work like that. Sounds like a great hackathon project!
I did suggest using Slack's /remind command recently for someone asking to get burndown charts into Slack. If that sounds like something you're interested in learning more about, you can take a look at that post here on Community.
Cheers,
Daniel
Thank you, Daniel. I checked the link that you shared, it's a good idea to remember the team to access the dashboards and watch the graphics, but I would like to show the graphic itself instead of the URL link to a dashboard.
Anyway, thank you for your help.
