Hello,
My organization has a Jira Kanban board on their account (to collect feedback during user acceptance testing) and the contractors we work with have their own Kanban board on a separate account (to work on bugs and defects).
Is it possible to share content from one Kanban board to another across accounts? My company will reviewing the content on our own Kanban board and will only migrate true bugs and defects to the contractor's Kanban board. We'd rather not have to copy and paste the information over.
Hi @[deleted] ,
Boards are not assigned to accounts per se. They board is attached to an underlying filter which tells which cards to show on the board. The filter is then shared with certain users.
So you can create a third board, if you like, that uses a filter that shows all of the cards from both boards and then share that filter with whomever you like.
Or you can share one of the existing board filters with more people to allow them to see both boards.
Hello John,
Thank you for responding back to me so quickly. What are the steps need to create the third board you mentioned that has a filter that shows all of the cards from both boards?

Simply copy one of the existing boards, then go to Board Settings > General
There you can click on the board filter which takes you to the advanced search function for filters.
Modify the filter and save as with a separate name.
Then be sure to share the filter with the right people, groups, roles...
