Setup default values to the fields while creating a form in JIRA?

I am creating a form in JIRA. Can i setup default values for some of the fields?

Yes, but usually not directly in the form itself.

If you are using the native Jira form in Cloud, the default value normally comes from the underlying Jira field, not from a separate setting inside the form builder. The form builder itself is mainly for things like field name, description, and required/optional behavior. 

So for a company-managed project, I would check the field context/default value first. For team-managed projects, some project fields also support defaults. 

If you want, can you confirm whether this is a company-managed or team-managed project? That would narrow down the exact place to configure it.
