Setting up a rule for Epics that have Parent Link to Initiative

When using the Planning feature, I want to auto-populate a number of fields on the EPIC to match those fields that are set on the Initiative.

I'm using the automation feature, and I see a lot of elements present for me to copy from "Epic, Parent, etc." but not sure how I tell it to get the data from the "Initiative".

I've got myself wrapped around the axel on this now.

So, here is the summation of what I want :

• When an EPIC is created
• The "Parent Link" field is not empty
• Copy the 'Components' (For now) from the Initiative (in the Parent Link)

I know it isn't possible simply - it is a suggested feature, vote/follow JRACLOUD-74105 

You can also check out JSWCLOUD-19451, which suggests allowing Parent Link to behave like Epic Link

I haven't been able to locate a method to do this. You could create an additional link (via linked issues) between the Parent and the Epics, then a build a rule such as:

• Action: Scheduled; run a JQL search for issuetype = <Parent Issue Type>
• Branch: For Linked Issues
• Action: Edit Issue; copy issue data from Trigger Issue

Not ideal, but an alternative to populating them manually.
