Good afternoon.
I am currently the organizational admin and we have Atlassian Guard Standard but we still do not have access to the Service Accounts under directory. How do I get access to that?
Hello,
Welcome to Community :)
Presently service accounts are available for Centralized user management content
Your site would be under the Original user management content of admin.atlassian.
More details on the same here : https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/what-are-the-different-types-of-admin-roles/#:~:text=Understand%20billing%20administration-,Original%20user%20management%20content,-Different%20admin%20roles
You may reach out to support here : https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ so that they can validate your site and see it can enabled for Original user management
Thank You,
Prachi
Hi @Collista Lewingdon ,
Thank you for your question. The new service accounts feature should be under Directory> Service accounts, as explained here .
This new feature is available only if you have the centralized user management experience, that should have been applied starting 2024.
I guess this could be the cause, suggest to check if you have the centralize user management, you can find more detail in this article and opening a ticket to Atlassian support.
I hope it helps.
Regards

It did not. I had checked there before posting. Unfortunately since it is still in BETA testing it was not just just available and I had to request access.

As I understand it from Support, the Service Accounts feature is still in early release/BETA, with EAP participants able to use it but not the wider Jira audience (for the non-centralized user management experience accounts). You may wish to contact Support to see if there is anything they can do for you, if you have an immediate need for Service Accounts functionality.

That is what I had read in the Release Notes, as well, but the option was not displaying for us in our Directory. So I contacted Support just this week and was advised that Service Accounts were not fully available to all users yet, and they asked if I wanted to join the EAP. I confirmed I did, and the next day the option was showing for us. :-/ It does appear this was related to the user management piece of the equation.

Hi All, according to Atlassian Support, this feature is still in Beta testing and we had to request access to it. I have requested access and it was granted. Thank you.
