Server-> DC migration

That’s a fair point others have raised, especially with the long-term direction shifting toward Cloud.

• Timeline matters: If Data Center is only a short-term step, it is worth weighing whether another migrations would be needed later.
• Current constraints: Some teams still choose Data Center due to compliance, data residency, or infrastructure control requirements.
• Migration effort: Even Server to Data Center requires careful handling of projects, history, and configurations.
• Future flexibility: Planning now for how easily you can move again later can save effort down the line.

The option to migrate to a Data Center configuration is not available any more because Atlassian has and End of Life date for that configuration. If you can migrate to cloud review options there.

Note that Data Center is also an end-of-life product based on this announcement.

The effort around migrating from Server to Data Center might be better spent planning a migration to the Cloud instead. That way you'll avoid having to migrate off Data Center in the next 2-3 years.
