Hi All, here is my task at hand.
We want to see if there is an option to send an email to either one or more individuals based on the ticket we close.
Not sure if this is an option within Jira. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Monica,
You should be able to do that with the Automation for Jira app. Create a trigger based on Issue Transitioned and then add a new action for Send Email.
Hi John, thank you so much for this!! This I think "almost" gets me where I need to be. I assume there is no possible way to have another "check" or "criteria" where I can have that email go ONLY if a certain value is listed in one of my fields of my Jira ticket?

Certainly - just add a Condition before the email is sent.

As John mentioned you can do this with automation it would look like this:
Additionally, when you configure the emails above you can use this list of 'smart values' to show data from your ticket into your email body or title easily.
