Hello @giles Dakin-White

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Do you want your search to find the Epic or the child issues of the Epic?

Are the issues in a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?

If you want you search to find Epics, then set the Type criteria to "Epic".

If you want to search for child issues of Epics, then Epic Link will work for Company Managed projects.

When you hover over the icon next to POPS-90, what does it say?

When I hover over the issue type icon for an Epic issue in my system I get this:

Hi @giles Dakin-White welcome to the Atlassian Community!

If you are looking for issues that are within a specific Epic, try the Parent field instead of Epic Link.
