Script runner failed to execute timing tasks according to cron expression

Alex May 17, 2021

Hi everyone:

I have a problem when using script runner timing tasks. The cron expression I set is : 0 0 14 ? * *  ; But it is not executed at 2pm, the next execution time displayed on the interface is 10pm,I have updated the settings. what's the reason of it?

Please help me analyze the problem。

Thanks.

Hi Alex,

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Any chance your server's timezone is different from your computer's time zone?
I'm quite sure ScriptRunner will use the server's clock to schedule scripts.

Hi @Charlie Misonne

Thanks for your answer.

The initial default user time zone of the JIRA system is UTC. When I found that the scheduled task was not executed according to the cron expression, I tried to find the problem. So I changed the time zone to GMT+08:00 and it finally worked.

So as you said is the server time zone issue.

Thanks.

Best Regards.
