I’d like to load a backup of our existing instance into a new sandbox cloud instance for testing purposes, without incurring an additional charge for our existing 39 users. I want a smaller user base for this testing platform. Whats the most cost effective way of implementing this strategy? If I load the backup will I immediately be charged for our existing 39 active users?
If you have a lot of sandbox testing to do you should look at moving to premium as it provides a sandbox option. If you are testing a migration and want to do it on a free account I believe you have to assign the users a license. You could always disable the users before making the backup to ensure that you would not be charged when you create your sandbox instance.
