SSO login issue

When I setup inbuilt SSO for our Jira software DC 8.20.27 version and try to login, the page displays "Something went wrong, We couldn't log you in. This may be for a variety of reasons. We suggest trying again."

We use Oracle Access management.

In the logs, it throws below error. anyone faced same issue or any suggestion how to solve this ? 

Received an invalid SamlResponse: com.atlassian.plugins.authentication.impl.web.saml.provider.InvalidSamlResponse: Received invalid SAML response: The status code of the Response was not Success, was urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:status:Requester -> The AuthnRequest could not be validated

Browser logs:

Request Method: POST
Status Code: 400 Bad Request

Hi Rilwan,

There are a few reasons why this might be happening. Check the following to get to the root cause:

  • The SAML request format might be incorrect.
  • The SAML request timestamp might be incorrect.
  • The SAML request audience parameter might be incorrect.
  • There might be incorrect SAML configurations.
