SSO for Atlassian Server and Data Center version 4.1.0 incompatibility with JIRA 8.11.0

Roberto Doneda July 27, 2020

Hi All,

even if JIRA 8.11.0 was released lasT 15 July, your app SSO for Atlassian Server and Data Center version 4.1.0 sounds incompatible with it.

Is it possible you'll check sooner this aspect?

Thanks a lot for your attention

Hi Roberto,

I am a bit confused by your question here.  In my own Jira server 8.11.0 installation, I am seeing that this particular plugin is already installed and certainly seems like it is compatible with this version of Jira when I look at my manage apps page:

Are you seeing something different in your installation?

I do not understand why you believe this particular plugin is incompatible.  Please let me know more about what you see on your end so I can better understand the problem here.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

During last weekend I upgrade my Jira installation to version 8.11.0 and, after upgrade completion, the message I report into this support request disappear.

So, I don’t know which was the reason but when I checked the compatibility of all apps with that version in two Jira environments versions (8.10.0 and 8.10.1), using Universal Plugin Manager (v4.1.2) which discover new versions, it reports to me the object of this message.

Now you can close this ticket, but you may be sure about my support request: I’m not habit to create matters w/o any reason.

Have a nice day.

Roberto.

Hi Roberto,

Sorry for the inconvenience.  Sometimes when we publish a new version of Jira Server, there are several entries within Marketplace that we have to update to reflect their compatibly with this new version.  It is most likely that this particular Marketplace listing for that plugin was not yet updated at the time you installed/upgraded Jira to 8.11.0.  That could explain why when looking at your manage apps page within Jira, it could show that bundled plugin as being incompatible (even though it was not).

Again sorry for the confusion.  I am going to raise a new ticket in order to change the way we deploy new released in order to prioritize these Marketplace listing updates to avoid further customer confusion in the future.

Thanks for the report.

Andy
