Run JIRA as NOT-root

I ran a manual install as root for Jira 9.8.0 and Confluence 7.50, and this was a huge mistake and a hassle (yes, bad practices, etc..).

I would like to make a jira/confluence user to run JIRA and confluence. Is there a way to do this without reinstalling?

Alternatively, is there a way to run the installer and re-import the database that we've set up?
