Roles to create a ticket based on issue type.

 Rights to create a ticket based on type.    
    -> Operational Team - Incidents, Problem, SR
    -> QA Team - Defects     
    -> BA Team - Change Request

 

The users in Operational Team should not view the issue type defects and change request while creating the issue itself

Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to set project permissions (Create issues, edit issues, etc.) per issue types. We have already requested this ability with our development team before, however, they decided not to implement it since it would add more complexity and backload to the application:

Provide the ability for permission schemes to be configured per issue type 

That being said, you can use one of the following options to achieve your need:

  1. Use each issue type in different projects, configuring the permissions as you need per project
  2. Use security levels to hide your issues based on issue-type, as displayed in the KB below:
    How to set the Security Level of an issue based on group membership 
    Using this second option, the user will be able to create issues, however, they will not be able to access them in the project.
  3. You can also use Scriptrunner behaviors, as described in the documentation below:
