Hello,
I have been trying to control the visibility of Roadmap and Backlogs. Is it possible only selective users (with members role) could see the roadmaps and backlogs, not all the members?
Secondly, all the members can see all the tasks on board. There is no privacy. Plus it makes the board look too messy. Is there any way that members could only see the tasks assigned to them?
Appreciate for your help.
Hi @E Malik , NG projects are intentionally less flexible in an effort to make them less complex. The downside is, well...flexibility. You cannot restrict access to individual features, e.g. backlog or roadmap at least today. Further there is not support for quick filters as exist w/ Classic boards which would allow you to display current user or specific user. I would recommend using the Feedback button and provide feedback to Atlassian. For sure they are closely reviewing all feedback as the continue to take an MVP approach to NG rollout.
So, that means NextGen projects are only good for school projects, where privacy doesn't matter to the kids; nor needed. Disappointed, if this is the case and wondering there would be no good reason for the the industry to support such experiments (NG Projects).

While I personally rarely use NG projects there are quite a few folks in my company that use them. Primarily our usage is limited to business projects. I’m seeing more and more folks using them or certainly trying them in the community so adoption is on the upswing. Still I’m partial to classic today.
