Right know I'm using Jira on-premises.. can I connect to Jira on Premises using power bi desktop

I'm using jira on premsises, can I connect to power bi desktop. One of my colleague suggested to use rest api to connect Jira onpremises to power bi desktop. can any one give me a solution for this. I'm stuck at this situation

Also on the Microsoft Blog read through the comments as there are some additional notes on the on-premises  server connection noting that the server needs to use Basic authentication to communicate with power BI over the PowerBI content pack connector.

As an alternative you can also look into the add-on All-In-One Power BI Connector for Jira, and details on the setup for this addtional add-on can be seen in the video on the overview tab of the marketplace listing.
