Is there a way to restrict the issues users can see within a specific project, to only the issues a user is assigned to?
We have a project with confidential issues, but still we have to assign them to different users within our organization.
We do not wish to create different projects for each individual issue, so we are looking for a way to manage all issues within the same project, so we as the project-leads can see them all. At the same time, our co-workers only need to see the issue which they are assigned to, and do not need (or are allowed to) see the other issues.
Is there a way to do this?
Right now we use a custom security level scheme, with only a single security level: which gives the current assignee visibility to its own issues, besides the regular project roles.
We HOPE the browse projects permission doesn't supercede this, but we haven't fully tested it yet. We're also sad Security Levels aren't functional for next-gen projects and probably never will, so if anyone has a better/more sustainable idea, please let us know."
Hi @Martijn Loonstra ,
Give it a try by modifying the permission scheme.
Browse project permissions only for Current assignee.

Hi @Martijn Loonstra , welcome to the community!
Jira offers issue-level security which can be configured to restrict issues based on different factors, such as groups, field values, roles, etc.
