I had a project with 2 boards and wanted to delete one of the boards, before deleting I moved the board that I did not want to delete to a different location as it suggested so I moved it under my profile/name. I was left with only the board I wanted to delete so I proceeded. Once that completed, I went to the board I moved under my profile/name and all the tickets ever created were gone.
@Pahoua Hang, boards are simply visual filters. You need to create a new board for the project that you moved the issues to. Issue belong to projects not boards so the issues still exist it is simply that your old board’s filter is using the old project so you simply need to edits the filter from the old board and replace the old project key with the new project key.
ok -sounds like if I have a project with 2 boards I cannot delete one of the boards without creating a whole new project and then move ALL the tickets to that new project before I'm allowed to delete any board. So I'm pretty much stuck with this project with 2 boards one of which I no longer want unless I start all over.

@Pahoua Hang, no that is not what I am saying. You can delete boards all day long without impacting the issues or the project. The exception is that any default board that is created when the project is created cannot be deleted as it is a system board. You don’t need to move issues to a new project just to clean up unwanted boards.
