I'm using Jira Cloud, Classic Software Project.
I followed the "Configure a Screen to choose a Resolution" steps on the page below:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/resolutions-are-not-being-set-in-jira-server-225122076.html
The "Resolve Issue Screen" is configured with a resolution field. However, the resolution field is not editable on the "Resolve Issue Screen", meaning users cannot select one of the resolution reasons configured for the resolution field.
What do I need to configure to make the resolution field editable on the "Resolve Issue Screen"? Thank you.
If the field is still not showing after following those steps from the link, make sure that your user has resolve issues permissions in the project.
If it's happening something else please provide more information about what's happening
Our project uses the "Default Software Scheme" permissions. "Resolve Issues" permission is set to "Application access (Any logged in user)".

What do you mean by "not editable"? Field does not appear, greyed out, only has one option, etc?

The field shows a default value of "unresolved". No changes can be made. Specifically users can't select the defined resolution values: Done, Duplicate, Cannot Reproduce, etc.

Hmm. I can only think of one way to do that.
Could you open up the workflow (edit it. Don't worry, you are not going to make changes... probably. "Draft mode" lets you tinker and then not save any changes)
Go find the transition that has this problem, and look at the "properties". Are there any that start with jira.field.resolution ?

There are no properties defined for the transition. I will research adding properties to the transition to see if I can find something. Thank you.
