I have created a Bug Workflow for our Jira Project, for this I have set Create edit and a Close Bug Screen.
The Close bug screen has the resolution field added to it and this is set as visible.
I have then created a number of transitions in my workflow each allowing the bug to be closed and named these transitions "Not a Bug" (these allow bugs to be closed if they are determined not to be bugs at each stage of the workflow) and assigned the Close Bug Screen to each one. However When I move a bug to the close status the screen that opens does not have the resolution field visible in it to edit.
Is there something else I need to set in order to trigger the resolution field to be visible?
Hi Richard and welcome to the Community. You need to ensure that you Close bug screen has been associated to the transition in the workflow. If you have not done this edit the workflow in diagram mode, double-click the transition to Done/closed and you should see the Screen e try where you can add the proper screen.
Thankyou however I have worked out the issue, user idiocy :) I created a series of transitions called Not a Bug which flowed from Bug creation to Closed to allow bugs to be closed at the triage stage and have the resolution field, however I also have a set of transitions called Not a Bug transitions that use the edit screen and do not have the resolution field so once a bug enters the dev process devs can push trhem to QA for final closing as not a bug. I have now renamed my transitions to make it clearer which flow the user is on so they know if they should or shouldn't see the resolution field :)
