Resetting my Jira sandbox to factory settings doesn't work

Dear community

As I'm learning Jira (or re-learning, 10+ years after using it in a past life), I have created a sandbox that I would like to reset. I am following the instructions here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/reset-and-delete-all-data-from-your-cloud-site-691012037.html

Everything seems to work fine up to step 10.d) under "multiple products" (I have also enabled a Confluence site, however at 10.e "reactivate" always returns the Jira workspace as it was, i.e. not reset.

Any guidance on what I might be missing would be highly appreciated.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

I see that you have tagged your post to indicate that you are on the Free product plan.

Note that the blue box at the top of the article you are referencing says that it applies to the Standard, Premium, and Enterprise plans.

I have never tried to reset a Free product, so I don't know what the correct steps are. I'm just pointing out that the steps in this article don't appear to apply.
