I have a Software board, and have added "request rank" into the detail. I am able to go to
1)issues and
2)filter Project = "Joy" AND Status = "Dev Ready" or Status = "Dev WIP" Order BY cf[10905] DESC.
3) download a CSV and see the actual numbers
In fairness it actually displays issue in rank order, but can't quickly see what the actual rank is without going into each issue.
I want the ability to see the rank on a top level view in my ticket. Either when I search for it OR even better on the sprint board view.
I have tried looking at documentation, and almost every configurable field. I have jira admin permissions.

welcome to the community and thanks for your question.
Could you please specify a little bit more, what type this "Request Rank" field is? According to your JQL, this is not the regular Rank field and rather a custom one you created.
Are you using team managed or company managed project? As this might limit the possibilities for displaying.

And maybe one more, where you want it to display?

you should be able to add your field to the card layout on your board via board settings.
here is a example how it looks, using the Priority field

@Kai Becker - No, I did not create, but I did add through issue > configure > issues > layout.
See some screenshots, have not provided full viz, due to company IP. However let me know if it isn't clear enough.

Request Rank - Default text render (?)
