I need to report on tickets closed per staff member. There is one existing report someone has created titled 'analyst done' and one called 'engineer done'. Those show the results. However when I want to create a new report, it shows completely different numbers for the team members. I need a remote session from support on this.
Hi @Jai Shah,
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
As explained earlier, this depends on the filter used by the report. The filter determines which issues are returned, and the report data is based on those results. Most likely, your filter is different from the one used by the report.
To obtain this type of statistic, I would also recommend using Jira's Two-Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget or Work Item Statistics gadget.
First, create a filter in Jira that returns all the closed issues that you want to include in the report.
project IN (Project1, Project 2) AND statusCategory = Done
Then, add one of these gadgets to a Jira dashboard and configure them with this filter and to generate statistic by Assignee (and Issue Type as in my example).
Danut.
Hi @Jai Shah , it would be good to understand what you mean by "report". Where are you looking at when viewing existing reports. Is it under Reports or maybe a dashboard. In any event, reports are driven by a JQL as you likely know. Any differences observed simply indicates differences in the underlying filters. I would need more info to be able to assist with defining the filters. If you want to understand the differences with the current reports please share the details of theses reports.

Hi Jack, the report that does show accurately is under 'reports' the other report which I isnt displaying right is under my filters.
The one under reports shows for example of the guys closing 68 but under the one in filters it shows he closed 1.
