Reporting - Release Burndown - tasks completed out of sprint not counted

I'm interested in how to fix this:

We have at least a couple cases where work for a release (tagged using fixversion) got resolved without being in a sprint. The graph is sort of invalid

The tasks are Done, but the burndown graph continues to think they're open. 

The detail list below shows the tasks as Done in the sprint that overlaps the timestamp where they were resolved. They were never in a sprint (which was a little process problem, yes)
