Dear Atlassian Support Team,
I am writing to request assistance with removing our company's payment card and canceling active subscriptions/auto-renewals for our Atlassian workspace.
Unfortunately, the former employees responsible for managing this Atlassian workspace are no longer with our company, and we have lost access to the account login credentials and primary email addresses linked to the billing section.
Since our corporate card is actively attached to this account and being charged, we kindly request your guidance or intervention on how to:
Immediately remove/unlink our payment card.
Cancel all active auto-renewals for the workspace.
To confirm that we are the authorized owners of the payment method being billed, we can attached a bank statement screenshot of the latest charge from Atlassian to this request.
Could you please advise us on the next steps to resolve this?
Thank you for your assistance.
Hi Nicole,
This is a Community forum, not official Atlassian Support, but a couple of things worth knowing:
1. Domain verification may be your fastest path to regaining control without needing the former employees' logins. If your company controls the DNS for your domain, you can verify it at admin.atlassian.com > Directory > Domains (via DNS TXT record or HTTPS file upload). Once verified, you can claim the accounts under that domain and manage billing/subscriptions directly — this is designed for exactly this kind of situation.
2. For the payment card specifically, once you have admin access, it's managed under Billing settings in admin.atlassian.com — you can update or remove the card and manage subscription auto-renewal from there.
3. Since this involves actual billing/payment removal, you'll likely still need to contact Atlassian Support directly (support.atlassian.com) alongside domain verification — they can assist with urgent billing changes, especially since you mentioned proof of payment (bank statement) is available to confirm ownership.
Worth starting the domain verification process now, since DNS verification can take up to 72 hours
