Remove the system priority field from the view details

I need to remove the priority field from the view details on the view issue screen. I have tired the field configurations and project properties to remove and I can't find the section to remove. I have looked in several documents on the system fields and none were helpful.  Can this field be removed? When I look at the default view issue screen, I don't see the field in the configuration.

Have you tried hiding it in the field configuration schemes?
