Remove Signature from emails

Hi,
We are trying to use jira service desk to replace our current system. This is an internal helpdesk system only. We do not have external people emailing it. The issue we are having is that our signatures are very large and we are trying to remove it when it goes into jira. We followed this workaround https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-strip-the-old-reply-data-from-incoming-email-when-using-outlook-223218415.html to remove our signature but it does not seem to work. The signatures appear and are not hidden.
Do we need to restart jira for these changes to take into effect? Do these solutions no longer work ? We are aware of the JEMH plugins (and other add-ons) but it seems that the price does not justify what we want to do.
Any suggestions?

Hi Joshua,

Currently, on Jira Cloud, it's not possible to remove signatures from emails.
The documentation that you mentioned is for Jira Server and the configuration does not apply to Cloud.
We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of such ability:
