Refilter Jira sprints so they are ordinate (chronologically by sprint: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, etc.)

Greetings!  I've been creating PI 2 sprints (iterations) and, in the current Jira Backlog Board, it doesn't "ordinate" them "chronologically by sprint" (2.1, 2.2, 2.3, etc.).  For example, "PI 2.1" came in between PI 1.3 and 1.4.   I am an admin for this board.  Is my action to: 1) Go to Configure, 2) Create a new filter or 2) Edit the current filter?   If I need to create a JQL, would The Community know what would be my query (syntax)?  Many thanks for the help!
