Recover task details from history log

Doing some housekeeping and changed a set of tasks to stories as they had originally been created wrongly. In doing so I inadvertently deleted all details of each of the tasks and these where replaced with the story default template.

Is there any way to easily revert to the original tasks with details?

There is not easy way to revert to the original tasks. You would need to use a backup to restore the data.
