Receiving an error during Exel export

Alona Anderson April 2, 2019

I'm trying to export my Issues from a Project but each time I click on Export to Excel I get this error

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Is it a basic version limitations?

Thank you

Hi Alona,

Welcome to Community!

There isn't a basic version of Jira, when you install it's fully functioned and includes all features available in Jira Core.

  1. So just to confirm, you are just trying to export issues from a project into an Excel file, but you get this error in the UI as soon as you try?
  2. Could you confirm what version of Jira you are running? Is it Server or Cloud, and if Server, which version exactly?
  3. Does this occur with any projects or only the one?

Regards,

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

1 - Correct

2 - v7.10.1 - it's a Server  version

3 - Any project

Just to elaborate a bit more. I am able to do a standard export to Excel, but not the Advance one where I can configure what fields to Export. I am also not able to add certain fields, that what made me think of version limitations

Thank you!

Alona,

Thank you so much for providing that detail. It would help if you can send along some screenshots of the menus in Jira that you're clicking on and the errors. That way we can track down exactly which feature is causing the problem.

Regards,

Shannon
