I have a user with two different accounts and is looking to merge both accounts into one. However, the users is assigned to multiple Jira Boards and Tickets.

How can I bulk reassigned or merge one account to another.

*note*- this is cloud base

Hello @brittney_robertson

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Unfortunately, we don't have a default procedure to merge all the content of two Jira Cloud users in a single shot. We have the following feature request to implement that:

Merge Users

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

That being said, you will need to manually reassign the issues, boards, and permissions from one user to Another:

  1. To bulk reassign issues, you can use the Bulk Operation functionality.
  2. To change the ownership of the boards, you can copy the board filter to a different one and assign it to the board, as explained in this documentation.
  3. To add the same permissions, add the user to the same groups and project roles, as mentioned in this documentation.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi @Petter Gonçalves seeing this comment is now a few years old, has anything changed on this topic? All our Jira users have recently been given a new Jira account and now have to reassign 1000s of tickets.

There is a link to the so-called "bulk operation functionality" provided above, but it seems to be a dead end, as it does not provide information on how to manually reassign issues in bulk.

Thanks, Manca
