Problem no fields in Service Desk Customer Portal / "There's nothing in this portal yet."

KDSI Sàrl November 23, 2022

Hello,

I have a problem with Jira Service Management.

I just created my project but now I want to invite clients by email to access the platform and when they access the portal there is no button to create tickets and ask questions (

There's nothing in this portal yet.).

Can someone explain to me how to do and assign permissions to a user so that the 2 buttons appear, a field to create tickets in the project and another to ask questions ?

Can anyone help please ?

Thanks in advance,

Hello @KDSI Sàrl

did you configure or created request types for the customer under Project settings --> Request types? Are there request types already?

A couple of things I'd like you to confirm.

  • Is this behaviour happening for everyone, including you or just the end users?
  • Did you create the Requests Types in the project settings section?
  • Are these Request Types part of at least one group? The way Request Types are hidden from the portal is by removing them from all groups.
