Raised By not updated despite of activity showing it

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I made an automation that creates a Jira Service Desk ticket and later on updates the "Raised By" via REST, replacing it with the user that triggered the action.
The activities show that the field was updated, but the "Raised By" field still shows the ticket creator
There are no other updates in the "Raised By" in the activities, so I don't understand what exactly happened.
