We are planning to use JIRA as a Defect management tool but our customer is looking for a ROI data.

Return On Investment figures like quality, effort saving, defect leakage reduction or any other metrics when we use JIRA.

It will be very difficult to generate such quantitative data. If i were you i would rather give a demo of the tool and its features, and show the value of the tool. 

There is a reason why JIRA is currently the market leader in defect management tool.
