Hello everyone,
JIRA Admin in training here. I have a question regarding to the Browse Users and Groups global permission, specifically, what fields or function does it control? So far, I know that "@mention" will be restricted if this permission is taken away, however, user can still see every other user in the JIRA Software application, even if they do not belong to the same GROUP. For example, a person from Group A can still assign an issue or task to a member outside of the project group, say Group B, even though that individual will not receive any notification.
My goal is to preserve the @mention ability to all JIRA users in my company, while restricted the list of assignee to only include members of the project group only. Does the cloud solution support that?
Thank you.
Hello,
The Browse Users and Groups global permission lets users to see all groups and users in Jira. You can not limit visible users by a group.
