Question on restoring backup

Hi..

We have a test instance on Jira Cloud. Now we are going to restore the backup on the test instance, we are concerned about the email notification.

Before restoring the backup, we have disabled all email configuration and notification. Suppose if we restore database backup (activeobjects.xml & entities.xml) on test instance then email configuration and notification will be enabled on test instance automatically? And all users will get email notification of new instance?

I believe all configuration related setting is also store in DB, so if we restore database, it will restore all configuration setting including users, groups, issues, email configuration etc.

Can you please provide your suggestion ?

I do not believe it will be notifications that result from the restore. In any event as this is a test instance I can't imagine that you have that many users. If you're concerned about that I would simply notify all current users ahead of time so they can ignore should they see any notifications.
