Querying issues by assignee and reporter

What is the JQL syntax for a query that pulls issues with either a given assignee(s) or reporter(s) for instance:

I want to see issues that have Edwin and Kathleen as either the reporter or the assignee.

reporter in (edwin, kathleen) OR assignee in (edwin, kathleen)

assignee in (edwin, Kathleen) or reporter in (edwin, kathleen)

This jql shows you all issues that Edwin or Kathleen are assignee or reporter,

you can add in other constraints like your project = xxx and ...
