I want to see what work was added to a the release. Although I can see the story points added in the Release burn-down chart I want more information. Specifically the tickets added and story points added.

you can create a JQL that will return a list of all issues in a release and you can include columns for Story Points, logged time.
JQL ~ project = abc and fix versions = 1.4
