Pull information from JIRA via SharePoint

Hello All

I am new to this site and new to JIRA, Hi :)

Recently joined the company where they use SharePoint 2016 + Nintex2016 whereby they have a form where a user can enter a particular Project number (related to JIRA projects).

The task is to make SharePoint pull out the information about that particular project and show for example: who is the project owner.

The purpose is so that the SharePoint sends an approval request to project owner.

They use JIRA v.7.3.1

I am new to all the API / REST etc stuff.
Would appreciate if there is a guide how to and advise me further.
