We've had our JSD instance for some time and have been accepting email requests by setting up "Email Requests" under the project settings (we have 3 projects which accept email requests this way). We have the projects set to public so that anyone that emails us can raise a request. If they are an email address which is new to the system, they are created as a "customer" i.e. a user which doesn't use up a license.
I've been tasked with getting our JSD instance onto the JETI add-on. During set up, this requires that I deactivate the email handling under "Email Requests" and set up a mail handler under the global settings > incoming issues. This mail handler has a checkbox called "Create users", which warns that, if not checked, emails from unknown emails will be ignored unless you apply a default reporter. If you have it checked, it creates a full user, taking up a license.
Is it possible to set up this type of mail handler and have it accept emails from unknown emails, set them up as a customer and set them as the reporter on the ticket and not take up a license? (i.e. the behaviour we get from the project "email requests" handler).
