Proposal Cost Estimate Template

Hello! Has anyone used Jira to generate cost estimates for proposals? 

Essentially, I am looking for a way to create a database of parts and costs (e.g., P1000 PLC = $250, etc.) that users can select from, and labor rates, and use this to build out a cost estimate for a job.

I've seen teams do financial calculations in Jira?

It might be possible to do this using a combination of...

• Automation - to auto-calculate the costs. I'd then either store the parts/costs in custom fields, with the automaton storing the pricing for the calculations, or use...
• Asset Management - to manage the different components and parts, where there is a good range of customisable objects and attributes

If I was going to try this, this is where I'd start :)
