I have a new project and, as usual, I want reporters to receive notifications of some events (creation, resolution closing,...) but no one is receiving the emails.
I wonder if there is something related to the permissions or the issue security.
Also I am using some automation rules in this project...
Hi @Joan Andreu Juan Torrens , is it an issue for all reporters? Is it specific to this project, I.e. are reporters receiving emails when creating issues in other projects?
Hi Jack,
Yes. This scheme is just for this project. Other projects with their own notification schemes receive the notifications.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Just for test purpose it would be interesting to add a specific user to the notification scheme create event and see if they are notified.

Hi Jack, I added myself to the notification scheme as you suggested... and I receive the emails:
Email received:
But the reporters are still not receiving these emails.
In this project, the reporters are not part of the People in Project Settings. Would that be the thing?

I have added all users to the project's People like this:
But still not arriving...
Maybe I should put a support ticket...

Hi @Joan Andreu Juan Torrens , so those that will be reporting issues definitely need to be pare of the project so that they can report issues. The one last thing before contacting support is to verify that indeed the "Reporter" shown in the permissions is indeed associated with the Reporter radio button when you go into edit permissions and not some group or role you created. just a last ditch idea.

The Reporter is not in the permissions, it's in the notifications scheme:

Sorry, that is what I meant to say. 😉
I am out of ideas here and recommend contacting support. If you do and get a response back, please do update me here, as I am interested in the cause.

Its resolved Jack.
To receive a notification of the issues they create, users must check the "You make changes to issues" on the Personal Settings -> Project & issue notifications.
We made the change and it worked.

yes of course. I made a poor assumption in the very beginning here. You were conveying that this was working for some projects but not others. I wrongly assumed that some or all of the users were in both projects and that those individuals were receiving it on some projects and not others. So I ended up going down the wrong path all together. If I had stopped to think that maybe these were different individuals, I would've told you to check there right off the bat. For this, I apologize for not being able to assist you more rapidly.
In any event I am happy that you have this resolved now.

Maybe it was my fault not explaining all details.
Thanks for the effort in helping !
