Hello All,

I've took over the management of an existing jira site with multiple projects.

I'm trying to rework the permissions.

For some reason I have two types of projects:

a) Under project settings I have "Access" menu item (but no People and Permission)

b) Under project settings I have "People" and "Permissions" (but no Access)

As far as I understand type b) projects use Permission Schemes and type a) projects do not.

How could I move from one type to the other (of course without deleting the project).

I want to change type b) projects to type a).

Thanks,

Hi Viktor - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You do indeed have two different types of projects. You cannot simply convert one project type to another. You will need to create a new project of the type that you want, and then migrate any existing issues from the old project to the new project.
